Like the others, he despawns about two or three minutes afterwards.  While I  haven't seen anyone try it yet, I suspect you could do multiple turn ins before he despawns.

You can do as many turn ins as you have Beasts with the letter.. and now it seems he despawns only after you have left a certain range after turn in (from last night - I finally got to him)

There was another VS Bst that used the Invis/Sneak method to get up tehre.. fought some mobs from about half way up to the top, dueting with a Rog.  Invis/Sneak just wasn't cutting it for me... so I had to take the time to build a couple groups (another Bst from another guild joined forces with us) and we cleared from the caves all the way up (took about 25 minutes)... during our time waiting for our guildies to arrive.. the first beastlord was standing near Ikpug while the rog SoS'd back to ent to invite a mage for a COH ... Ikpug did not despawn whilke she was standing near him  (20-30mins after turn in) .. Ikpug DID despawn after she left the zone tho... just before we started our crawl.

Ikpug repoped about 20 mins after she left the zone.  Both Bsts were able to lev down to him our do our turn ins.

One last hint:  If you manage to get there solo via the Invis/Sneak method... and do not have a gate potion/item.. it IS possible to "swim" your way back up to the top by carefully going back and forth thru the water fall in the center while looking up (with lev on).. Take a few mins to zig zag thru the water to gain the hieght and eventually pop back up thru the hole at the top, but you can definitely do it before the temple mobs repop... then you can train out...

Hm, Ikpug despawned for me about three minutes after I did the turn in - I was a few inches from him at the time updating my zone map.

Died 4 times had a BST, CLR, and SK friend finally get me through it. I'm camped in tank waiting for him to spawn.

So I get to temple do turnin , get trumpets and before I can do any lines with the Ogre I drown.    Think I need to go back and do hails and lines or should I be fine ... please please say fine

Eatbugs

You should be fine, assuming you got the letter back.  All you need is for him to sign it, you don't actually have to go through his text.

How did you climb up the temple? I got to the back stairs as shown in the picture twice last night but could not figure out how to climb it. This in turn led to ugly situations trying to run around it to go up. I'm going to try this again tonight with a cleric and sk camped at zi to get me body back lol.

Ps.. If any beasts on SARYRN server are up to this point please send me a tell and maybe we can team up to do it.

After trying to sneak on my own and dying and then dying more on other failed attempts at a combination of fighting/sneaking with partners, I finally begged a mini-raid that had just finished getting a drop in Fear to jog over to CT and escort me.  We simply wiped every lizard who aggroed as we crawled up the temple.

Did this last night, sneaking was very easy to get up although I did use my mage for get-out-of-jail-free card. Took me 4 attempts total to get it down pat.

See invis mobs can pretty much start outside the doorway to temple. you can sneak past these guys if you stick to the wall. None of the roamers I saw could see invis, once past entry mobs hug the inner wall and head round to the opposite side sneaking as some of the corner mobs see invis.

At the back is the ramp. go up the ramp with lev on and basically just float outside the ramp onto the slope of the outside wall. Once on there you can just run up the side of the temple. Stop 2 levels below and take care from here, usually see invis mobs on the top level who will spot you at the top. Work your way carefully round to the front again and go in.

Then run down to SE pool and you're set :)

First of all this is my least favorite zone in the game, that being said I tried to make my way to the npc last weekend and died twice. Currently my BL is 67th level with decent equipment not ELE, VT or GoD armor. Fully buffed with self buffs and virtue I het the 6.2K hp mark. The group that we took has SK, 2BL, cleric and ranger. Closest we made it was to the base of the pyramid and a bad pull by the SK (unusual for our SK) brought 7 mobs to our camp and they immediatly kicked the clerics rear then moved on to the rest of us. I also was going to make a suicide run to the npc and hopefully do the turnin before death but from our prior romp to the base we killed mobs in the maze and low and behold spawned the named rator who saw me along the way needless to say I did not make it. The next attempt I think I will work with another BL in the guild and work it this way. One of us runs in and aggros as many mobs as he can run to the right side of pyramind and die. The 2nd BL will follow the token sacrifice a little behind invis and run to left end of pyramind and the work around to the spot to run up and do the turn in. Then summon rezz and repeat for the other BL. Has anyone tried this tactic, if so did it work . I will post if this works later this week when I try it again.

BTW Both BL are barbarians so sneak is not an option.

I fought my way in with a group consisting of myself (67 at the time), a 66 shaman, a 67 enchanter and my 65 druid bot. It was pretty easy.

Invis to the wizard port in, and fight from there. It takes a little while, but it's a pretty safe way to go. If you pull carefully (I was pulling) you shouldn't ever get more than 3 mobs and they don't hit hard so you can either mez (if you have CC) or root them or off tank or just tank all at once if you have a good enough healer.

I tried invising in a couple of times but it just didn't work; maybe I was unlucky with see invis mobs but we wiped twice. I then decided to go with the slow, steady option and it worked great.

Three bsts and a druid made the run up the temple easy.

One thing I would say though if you lev off the top to avoid using the ramps coming back down keep running to the zone and dont look back :)

Thanks for the Great info. Being a Kitty Bst I decided to try my hand at the sneaking thing, lev'd , invised and hit sneak key and made sure I was sneaking.  I got agro  and used my insta gate potion  ( 1020  plat in PoT from vendor ) . second time I decided to shrink myself 2x, got a dmf and invised and was able to sneak by the guy that saw me before.

Went to the back of the pyramid and found the steps, Coning everything as I go.  went up steps then ran off to the left a bit so I could run up the inclined sides. doing so ;;you can get all the way to the top always stopping just a bit short at each level to peer over and con any mobs in the walkway below.

ran across the roof to the entrance and went in .  found the guy up in the right most corner tank as ;you enter ...

66 VS beast, very unsure of my sneak abilities so I made a group with wife 66 cleric and my boxed 56 wizzie (insurance).  Since neither of us had ever been here before much less fought here, we weren't sure what to expect.

Most blue to the 56 pre-temple.  In the temple area, mix of blue to yellows.  These things run and hit fast.  Although I was slowing them, I could barely tell, glad they don't hit hard.  We got to the back of the temple and she got to tired to go on so I tried the invis/sneak thing.  I am not a rogue lol.  Died 3 times total.  First time I got into the temple and died to spells before I could turn in (most spells were hitting me even with 300ish resists) - necro friend summoned the body out.  The next two times, I didnt make it past the first corner at the base of the temple.  All three mobs saw invis on both sides.  At my level, the aggro range was just too large for me to get by all of them.

I don't know how you guys can train all the way to zone, at 7.2k I could barely make it to the wizzie port.

Going to try again tomorrow - hopefully the patch didnt fubar things.

Using a necro was so very easy.  We had 3 BLs in my guild all do this at once.  Necro FD'd his way up, we died, he summond and rezz'd us, and all 3 of us did turn-in.  We also had a mage sitting at the zone-in ready to CoH the necro in case he got into trouble.  Took all of 5 minutes. :D
