Beastlord AA skills by social/typing

I grab this from a post by DiosT on the other board.


AA Abilities have a Typable command that lets you activate an AA without actually hitting a hotkey just to trigger! And because it's typable, it's also social-able!

But first thing's first...

AA Abilities

Hobble of Spirits .......... /alt activate 126

Frenzy of Spirits .......... /alt activate 127

Paragon of Spirits .......... /alt activate 128

Hasten Mending .......... /alt activate 161

MGB............................/alt activate 35


Simply type those commands to actiave the AA...

Social's with AA Abilities

If one desires, you can actiave the AA ability in combination with other typed commands.. through Socials.... such as...

/alt activate 161

/g Mending Pet! Don't Heal it! (for those that like having clerics heal their pets so they can continue to melee)


It isn't limited to just this, some like this social:

/disc beastialfrenzy

/127 Frenzy of Spirits

You can make your own too =) To add a social(if you don't know already):

Using the new UI:

Hit Ctrl+A if you dont have your window with sit/stand/who/invite/disband... as well as combat & abilities.... One of the tabs Will open a page with about 14 boxes, most of which should be filled in with things like "afk" and such, if you havnt changed them...

On the top of those boxes(under the tabs), theres 2 arrows pointing left and right, with a number n the middle.. this is just like the hoykeys, the arrows let you move between Pages of Hotkeys, and the number tells you which page you are on....

Move to a page, any page you want.. and click on a blank box, a window will pop up with a bunch of colors, and blank text box's.... In the top left small Text Box, enter a short but descriptive name, such as "Pet Hobble"

in the 5 blanks, you can choose what to put in here in any order... these boxes will be used just like commands you type....

Continuing with the "Pet Hobble"

Line 1: /alt activate 126

Line 2: /g My pet can now snare!


now you can say and do whatever you want, but there is a character limit, so you cant say some really long emote or group message...

Do Note that you can use the %t, %r, %p, and other commands as you normally could if you typed it...

%t = Current Target

%r = Race of Target

%p = Pronoun of Target (He, she, Its)

You can also add in Pauses, which are GREAT if your casting a spell just before a disc, so you dont waste a second or 2 casting while on a disc... Which can be a problem if you try to cast a spell, disc, and use an AA at the same time...

for Example...

"Uber Damage"

/pause 10,/cast 5 (say slot 5 is Fleeing Fury or some other spell)

/disc Beastialfrenzy (Damage Disc)

/alt activate 127 (Frenzy of Spirit)

Ignore the stuff in the paranthesis, they are just notes....

When you 'execute', or click, on a social it runs through the list very fast, it doesnt automatically wait for the first spell to finish to execute the 2nd command.. It'll run through them as fast as it can.. so while you're in the first .1 second of casting your spell, you're already Frenzied x2... and you end up wasting a second of each ability because of the cast....

The solution is /pause ###... The /Pause is in tenths of a second, if i remember correctly...

A Pause of 10 is 1.0 seconds, a pause of 25 is 2.5 seconds, a lot like weapon delay's.. so calculate the amount of time you need before the next line is executed and do one of the following:

1) Put pause on it's own line, between where you want it to pause...

2) Put pause.. listen carefully... BEFORE the text of the command you want it to pause AFTER... What i mean is, You saw I did /pause 10 in the social above, but before i did the /cast 5, what this will do is /cast 5, wait 1 second, then continue on the social.....

It's odd, but that's the way they 'had' to code it...

BTW Does anyone know if or how to use the new Combat Discplines' on custom hot keys? or are we stuck with the SoE ones?

The combat discs work in a social as indicatd in the first post.

/disc protective

for example will activate Protective Spirit. It seems as though only enough of the word needs to be used to identify the discipline so

/disc prot

should also work.

I've got this set up as a social key:

/g Going Defensive for 12 seconds
/disc prot

I realize it's not an entirely accurate thing to say but it seems like the most likely thing to be understood by other classes. Everyone seems to know about warrior defensive = taking reduced combat damage.

*** EDIT : make sure you use lower case only for the /disc command. Using /disc Prot does NOT work. Unfortunately it's a case sensitive command.

I checked in game after posting. It appears that the trick is the command is case sensitive. :/ Annoying but that's the problem.

/disc prot

should work. I'm going to alter my first post to avoid people picking up the wrong info, but mea culpa about giving out the wrong info initially. I did confirm in game that my social key was working using /disc prot.

/disc foray is exactly how im doing it but it is foray rk3 if that changes things?

Different ranks require you to actually spell it out. If you have Foray Rk. III, you would spell it just like that:

/disc Foray Rk. III
