Unable to change displayed name

Sorry, but this is frustrating me no end.

The profile screen says I can change the displayed name but there is no edit box to do so.  I will not be posting with my username so I would really like to get this fixed ASAP.

That feature is currently disabled, not sure why it's showing up in the options, could be a theme thing.

It's on my list of things ot investigate. I need to see how it's done and how much chance there is for abuse with it.
