Ok kind of an update.  I did a quest today in Sunderock Springs from Anaglass.  I killed like 30 mobs and one of the 3 rewards was a 50 mana/end aug with 15 atk and FT3 on it.  Very decent aug.  Gonna do the next series and post what I find.

Tried briefly to find Anaglass. Any tips?

Not much of a solo'er so I'm not sure, but Sunderock sounds great from what I am reading, would definately stay in the new zones when I can.  For group XP and potential spell drops Direwind is great.  I was able to get from 70.99 to 75 in two sessions (prolly total 16 hours including downtimes(deaths)), and aaxp is just insanely fast.  Mobs are plentiful and camps are numerous. A few times today we had over 110 in zone on Xegony server without too many group collisions.

Direwind is 10%aa ish per mob at 75, solo.  Spent a little time killing some blue con wolves and griffons for some task, it wasn't too bad, especially since you can med back to full pretty damn quick, heh.  I'd usually hit a HoT potion if I had a few slow resists, they seemed to hit up to 1200ish, though most hits were lower.  Decent solo place for someone raid geared, I guess.

Made 74 and was looking for something to do.  Was pretty late at night so i decided to check out Blackfeather Roost.  Yeah its a lower end zone but I had heard so much about it I had to go check it out.  Let me start off by saying I love the way this zone is set up.  The levels are set up so you have to do a little quest to feed the griffon before you can advance to the next level.  The entire zone up to lvl 5 was grey/green and light blue to me.  Didnt make the last level.  I spent about an hour just messing around in here and ended up with 5 decent lvl 45 to 53 Req twink items and to my astonishment I made 11 percent exp.  I hadnt expected to see the exp gain as most of what I was killing was green.  Was never in any real danger.  Mobs are spaced well apart and single pulling would have been a non issue, I didnt see the need to single pull.  Did all of the quests and side quests to get up to lvl 5.  To access the last level you need to kill 5 royal guards and the guard captain.  Well having got so used to pulling multiple mobs the guards were all green to me and the capt was light blue.  Six mobs i think no problem.  LOL, Loading..........

Anyway if your bored and looking for something to do this isnt a bad zone ot mess around in.  No 11 percent an hour isnt the fastest in the world but it beats sitting in the guild hall LFG.  Additionally I made 1200 plat off vendor loots in this zone as well.  Feathers sell for around 25 to 30p a piece and i had a little over 3 stacks plus lots of gems and polished teeth which sell well also.

in the Steppes, the gnolls are fairly easy to solo.  The archers/sharpshooters are interesting in that they actually shoot you from afar (hit was usually under 150, but for quadders, would complicate it tremendously).  Pet was able to tank effectively using Promised Mending (cast real early, like pre 90% usually), so 2 pulls were fine.  It was fun duoing this with a wizard friend for a bit ;p

The xp sucked, since many of the mobs are about 65 (spent abt an hr there, popped lessons towards the end and got like 9% of 74 =/).  I know some're 65 bcs FB fired on some.

It was fun tho.  Think my friend was getting like 3% AA/kill solo, so it may be a poor substitute for c1, but I think I was killing faster than I would at C1, and it was different, and amusing ;p

I have had a rkII warrior disc drop from them. Not sure if there are other rkII items on their loot table.

east or west of the river taig?

I was working mostly west of the river, near the tunnel leading into the giant area.

Some giants and leopards see invis over there btw.

Was in the very NE corner of the gnoll camp. There is a quest dude named craignaw (gobber) or something similar in the southern portion of the zone that wants you to kill 20 gnolls and then deliever an obsidian sword to him. Apparently that sword drops from a named gnoll who can pop on the north side /shrug. There are at least two mobs that path near this corner so probably isn't the safest hunting spot. To find the NPC head west from the southern zone in. About 1/2 way into the ruins head up (north) over the lip there. Is nestled in a roundish ruin type deal.

Kanan - any idea what the cartography tools are for

Any LB areas at 75 for speed killing and 1-2% aa per kill like Griegs?

So far these are mostly DB areas which may be rough gear depending.

Those are our two solo options imo.
lowest LBs for speed killing, or highest DB/White/Yellow for drain all my mana in one fight, but win and get a bit AA % then rest.

OLD LB = NEW GREEN

remember this folks.

You get xp from killing greenies now.

If you want to just mow things down for fast xp, go find the zones with the greenies in em.  Goru'kar Mesa, north, is a likely candidate.

http://forums.beastlords.org/index.php?topic=6942.0 Its an explanation there.

I know we've spent years and years and years used to an old system, but its changed, and won't be going back to how it was, totally.  I like the new con system frankly.  I hated killing LB mobs before and still do today.  Now they're easier to avoid, since its a nice bright green ;p

Just as an aside, if you have issues with the new con system you can always use a custom ui and change the colors of the targeting rings.  I had to do this because I couldn't see the distinction between the white and grey con mobs.
