which is better

I know this is an old topic and one much discussed but which is better for me?

Eye of Perception: 2 dmg w/ 280 magic proc

or

Crystal Embedded Earhtbound Stone: 3 dmg

I'm leaning towards the Eye of Perception. I don't have the better HoT augs yet. The are ones I have presently.

Eye of Perception will almost certainly be more dps except under burn conditions w/ your sham (and may need bard, etc).  It will also be more agro, and entirely resisted on some mobs*.

*When I had them on weapons, I always found lifetap resists useful so I wouldn't bother w/ bouncing slows :D

Yeah I usually go for the weapons with lifetaps on them and add dmg augs to those but lately I've been having to take what I can get. But yeah pure dmg is better than dmg with a dd proc in burn situations. In those cases I would probably switch out to a different weapon set.
